With many of Italy’s major city’s being the main drawcard for visitors keen to explore the country’s colourful history, Emilia Romagna’s Apennine region offers a truly peaceful insight into Italy’s country life.
Earlier this year I had the pleasure of visiting Emilia Romagna as part of the regions Blogville project.
After a few days of wandering the streets of the region’s capital, Bologna, I was looking forward to spending a few days exploring what else the region has to offer its visitors. Thanks to Trekking Italy, my friend Conni from Planet Backpack, and I were treated to a memorable cycling and cultural experience.
Amongst all the sights and experiences it was the simple relaxation that came from feeling like there was literally no body around for miles that was the highlight for me.
